Application

Is is an important plasticizer.

• Phthalic anhydride and polyols (such as glycerol, pentaerythritol) are polycondensed to form polyarylate resins, which are used in the paint industry;
• If it is polycondensed with ethylene glycol and unsaturated acid, it will produce unsaturated polyester resin, which can be used to manufacture insulating varnish and glass fiber reinforced plastic.

• Phthalic anhydride is also a raw material for the synthesis of benzoic acid and terephthalic acid, and is also used in drug synthesis.

Storage

1.   Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated warehouse.

2.   Keep away from fire and heat sources.

3.   The packaging must be sealed and must not get wet.

4.   It should be stored separately from oxidizing agents, reducing agents, acids and alkalis, and should not be mixed.

5.   Equipped with the appropriate variety and quantity of fire equipment.

6.   Storage areas should be provided with suitable materials to contain spills.
