Application of 2-Ethyl-Hexanol

1. Used to produce plasticizers, the main products are: dioctyl phthalate (DOP), dioctyl oxalate (DOA), trioctyl trimellitate (TOTM),and phthalic acid, Azelaic acid, sebacic acid and other dicarboxylic acid ester plasticizers and cold-resistant auxiliary plasticizers.

2. Used as a defoaming agent for white latex, but it has poor foam breaking and suppression ability.

3. Used to prepare mixed solvents for nitro spray paint to prevent whitening of the paint film.

4. Used for paper sizing, latex and photography.

5. Used in the production of surfactants, dispersants, lubricants, emulsifiers, antioxidants, mineral processing agents, mercerizing agents and petroleum additives, etc. 

6. Used in baked goods, frozen dairy products and pudding.
